I’m horribly behind this week, I don’t even think it’s Friday anymore in some time zones. Here’s my take on the prompt, some fun romance with a twist of fantasy.

FAIRIES (153 words)
Celeste’s wings flapped with fervor as she flitted from flower to flower. Fairies filled the field, glittering wings of every color sparkled beneath the sun.
He’s here today. I must see him. Those eyes, dark like the night sky, and a smile so breathtaking the roses blushed redder.
Celeste dipped beneath the daisies and between the blades of grass as fast as her purple wings could carry her. The wind tousled her long blue hair. The field’s edge came into view where he would be—where he was every afternoon when the sun began its descent towards night.
The end of the field opened into a quiet park. Celeste slowed and peaked through the overgrown grass. There on a park bench was the man. Handsome. She leaned against a dandelion stem and her heart swelled. Loving him from afar would forever be her fate in a world where humans didn’t believe in fairies.
